MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

I am a Northeast Colorado based photographer specializing in weddings, families, seniors & western lifestyle photography. If you feel less at home in front of the camera & and more like a fish out of water, that’s where I come in! I absolutely thrive in making sessions and wedding days a FUN and relaxed experience. When I don’t have my camera in my hands you can find me spending lots of time with my family & friends, golfing, baking, team roping (although it is less frequent these days with a toddler in tow) and listening to almost nothing but old country. 

Hey folks, I'm Shay!

For years, I’ve had the privilege of enjoying hours of film and thousands of slides my family documented—dating back to the 1940s and ’50s. From ranching and hunting trips to military life and family gatherings, they preserved the roots of where I come from. I’ve always felt incredibly lucky to have these memories, but when my grandpa passed in March 2025, that took on a deeper meaning. Nearly all of the film and photos we have were taken by him. He loved photography, collected cameras, and had a passion for preserving legacy.

Dry Lakes Ranch is the name our family ranch used to go by, so it felt like the perfect way to honor both my roots and this passion. I truly believe God placed this business in my life. Outside of being a mom, I’ve never felt more aligned with what I’m meant to do. Through this work, I hope to capture life’s many chapters and bring light and joy to the people I get to photograph.
